ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
APRIL 13TH, 2010
Today may bring a chance of showers for us but that is ok as I've a lot of indoors work to do at my house.
I had a nice visit with my Sister on Monday and her hubby and one of her daughters were at home too. I got the laundry done and sat outside for awhile, but it turned cool by evening.
It felt like a Saturday to me. I didn't get any phone calls from work so I guess they made it through the day just fine. I'm really glad of that as now I know I did a great job of training my replacement.
God loves to pour out more of his Holy Spirit on us! Don’t be afraid to ask! And to ask again. And again.
As nature comes alive at this time of year, we also need to come alive and begin to notice the miracles all around us. You could call them God's gentle presence in our world.
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
Tuesdays are Pasta Day at my house. The only problem I have with that is it always means more leftovers for me. It is difficult cooking for one person and very often I eat the same meal more than once for sure. Here is a great recipe for a family
Bring a large pot of lightly salted boil water to a boil. Cook mostaccioli pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain well.
Meanwhile, cook ground beef and chopped onions in a skillet over medium heat until browned
In a large bowl, mix together the mushrooms, spaghetti sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, pasta, and browned ground beef and onion mixture. Transfer to a greased, 9x13 inch casserole dish
Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 20 minutes, or until very hot
God our Father, may all that we see and experience lead us to grow in wonder and respect, that we may value and be thankful for everything in our lives each day
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
I don't recall a day going by as fast as yesterday did. I had a lot to do and I took my time doing it so I wasn't tired out at all. The old saying Time flies when you are having fun is so true.
I still haven't done much with my pictures and my logo as far as getting all on this laptop. So sorry I haven't got any new ones to show you, but I will soon.
As parents, we have responsibility is to introduce our children to God. There are many things we have to do for our kids: keep them clean and fed, develop their minds and physical abilities, teach manners, and discipline, As a grand'ma' it is a pleasure for me to watch now and see the fruits of my labors. My children are now adults and I can often see how well I did my job. My grandchildren are all beautiful and loving and that reflects on what kind of job their parents are doing too.
